After the shocking figures released today stating that there have been 20,000 incidents of pest infection, Pendle PPC Afzal Anwar stated that "patients should enjoy pest-free hospitals and they need the assurance from the government and hospital trusts that these incidents do not reach clinical areas or endanger lives." He added "it is at the forefront of my campaign that patients are given outstanding care in an environment which is deemed to be safe and clean."
