Labour MP needs to get his eyes tested

8.42.00pm GMT Sun 21st Feb 2010

Pendle's Labour MP, Gordon Prentice, has recently claimed that Afzal Anwar is "invisible" and is not seen campaigning in Pendle. This has amused Afzal Anwar and the Pendle Liberal Democrats who are campaigning hard to win the Pendle Parliamentary seat.

Afzal Anwar is not only campaigning hard, he is fighting for better services, a new health centre in Colne, the return of A&E to Burnley General Hospital and fairness for all in Pendle.

Commenting on the claims by Gordon Prentice, Afzal Anwar the Liberal Democrats Prospective MP for Pendle said:

"Gordon Prentice is trying to score cheap political points by claiming that I am invisible. Either Gordon Prentice spends too much time in London and not enough in Pendle to see my campaign or he needs to get his eyes tested and get a better pair of glasses."

"Clearly Gordon is feeling the heat of my campaign and knows the Liberal Democrats are serious about winning for the people of Pendle."
