Working for Pendle

"I'd rather have a master than be disowned," says Liberal Democrats Prospective MP

Afzal Anwar has responded firmly to Labour MP Gordon Prentice, who recently claimed that Lord Tony Greaves is Afzal's master.

Afzal Anwar said:

"I'd rather have a master like Tony Greaves who has political experience and is a leading politician in Pendle, than be disowned like Gordon Prentice.

"Can Gordon Prentice name one politician from the Labour Party front bench who endorses his antics and his stubborn ways which have failed to support change in Pendle since Prentice was elected an MP more than a decade ago?"

"If elected to Parliament by the people of Pendle I promise to work with leading Parliamentarians and community workers, to ensure that Pendle gets the very best and that people in Pendle are not short changed. Even if that means I have to have political "masters" who will steer me to deliver success for Pendle!"
